Reed's owner was a military serviceman about to be deployed to Afghanistan. As a result of his orders, he tried to adopt the dog, but had little luck. Thus, Reed ended up with Animal Control, who later handed him over to rescue in the hopes that he can be readopted. Reed had become accustomed to living well and his stint in the kennels was an unhappy one. To this day, he does not like confinement, and is especially upset if he is on a leash when other dogs around him are not. Beyond that, however, he is a friendly and sweet-natured guy who just wants a happy, stable home.
